What It Is / What It Isn’t

Built for clarity, with clear limits.

What it is

A Q2 exterior report is first-look visual documentation of what can be seen from the exterior. It helps homeowners, agents, and contractors understand visible concerns, prepare the next conversation, and decide whether an optional contractor handoff makes sense.

What it isn’t

It is not a structural engineering report, home inspection, insurance adjustment, code-compliance review, workmanship warranty, or guarantee that hidden damage does or does not exist. Contractor quotes, repairs, warranties, and project execution are provided by independent contractor partners unless otherwise stated.

Private Partner Network

Not an open contractor marketplace.

Q2 does not sell homeowner information to an open list of contractors. Contractors apply and are reviewed before receiving homeowner opportunities or contractor-ready report summaries. Homeowner information is only shared after permission.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this a home inspection or engineering report?
No. A Q2 exterior report documents visible exterior conditions only. It is not a structural engineering report, home inspection, code-compliance review, or warranty.
Do I need to climb on the roof?
No. Please do not climb ladders or get on the roof. Q2 uses exterior photos and drone views where safe, legal, and appropriate.
What happens after I receive the report?
You can keep it for homeowner records, monitor visible concerns, request a repair or replacement quote, or ask Q2 to send the contractor-ready package to a reviewed local contractor partner.
Will my information be shared with contractors?
Only with your permission. Q2 does not sell homeowner information to an open list of contractors.
Does Q2 handle insurance decisions?
No. The report can support your homeowner records, but Q2 is not an insurance adjuster and does not decide whether an insurer will approve, deny, or pay for a claim.

Request an Exterior Check

Share the property address, contact details, and what prompted the request. Q2 uses the address to review fit, document the exterior concern, and prepare the next step.

Enter the property address so Q2 can follow up and route the request to the right exterior report workflow.

Photos help Q2 understand the visible concern before scheduling your report. Add 3–6 photos if you can.

  • Wide shot of the home or affected area
  • Zoomed-in photo of the issue (taken safely from the ground)
  • View of the roofline or eavestrough from ground level
  • Downspout or drainage area (if relevant)

Please do not climb on the roof. Ground-level photos are perfect.

If photos aren’t available, Q2 can still follow up about the best next step.

If attaching photos doesn't work, just text or email them after submitting.
