About the artist
Quinton Trott is an Ontario artist whose practice grew out of graffiti lettering and large-scale spray-paint work. Over time, that foundation expanded into portraiture, characters and wildlife, with his current direction moving toward sanctioned exterior murals and larger public-facing walls.
“Quinny Trott” has also been used informally and as a mural signature; Quinton Trott is the primary professional name used here.
Practice
Quinton began practicing graffiti around 2009. Clean outlines, stylized letter construction, colour blocking and large-scale mark making remain central to how he organizes an image.
Portrait realism, characters and animals developed later, while spray paint remained the connecting medium. The current focus is translating that visual language onto legal exterior walls and progressively larger architectural surfaces.

Around 2009
Quinton began developing his visual practice through graffiti, with lettering at its core. The emphasis here is the artistic foundation rather than locations, tags or unsanctioned-work details.
2015
A graffiti-style scenic backdrop created for a Keswick High School stage production. Archival rehearsal and performance screenshots dated October 8, 2015 show the large “The School Sharks” artwork in use onstage. It was an early sanctioned large-format scenic project, not a paid professional mural commission.
2020
Quinton completed an approximately 4 × 4 ft monochrome portrait of Drake using spray paint on canvas. Developed from an online photographic reference and completed in approximately one day, the work demonstrated representational spray-paint technique several years before the Blue Jays mural.
The portrait was featured digitally by the Art Gallery of Georgina through Georgina Creates! on April 28, 2020. It was a digital feature, not a documented physical gallery exhibition.
2023
Quinton reconstructed Raz Fresco's No Deal Peel album cover as a 16 × 20 in canvas using spray paint and acrylic paint markers. The physical artwork was then reproduced in an approximately 10-print release signed by Raz Fresco, with Quinton handling the fine-art print production.
That production relationship expanded to more than 10 additional album-cover designs for Raz Fresco / BKRSCLB, including Magneto Was Right and Secret Wars releases. Quinton's role on those later products was printing and production, not authorship or ownership of every underlying design or its edition terms.
2025
Sanctioned exterior work
Two Blue Jays painted above a doorway in Downtown Barrie: approximately 9 × 5 ft, spray paint on prepared exterior masonry, and Quinton's individual section within a larger multi-artist wall.

Quinton is currently focused on translating a graffiti-rooted visual practice into larger legal exterior murals, with an interest in brick, masonry and architectural surfaces. The direction is deliberate and still developing.
